I’m now ten days into my new practice of starting each day with a time for self-reflection and personal development.
Today’s guided meditation ended up being about expanding self-acceptance.
I’ll start with the video I recorded at the end of the guided meditation. This summarizes the changes I went through today. The video also introduces my philosophy for how I plan to go about supporting my personal development while still being productive in managing my software business and consulting practice.
(Please excuse the bed-head. I do these guided meditations first thing in the morning as soon as I get up.)
So how does it work? My basic intention each morning is to connect with myself on multiple levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – to see what catches my attention and then follow my body’s wisdom from there. Often I’ll employ the subtle movement explorations of Body-Psyche for self-healing and self-development, as I did today.
Here’s the video of today’s guided meditation so you can get a sense of how I go about making changes. I’ve edited it down from 20 minutes to seven minutes, so one third of its actual length.
For now my primary focus with this blog is to support my own personal development, but in a few weeks I plan to start sharing tools with you that you can use for your own self-directed personal development. Check out my vision for self-directed personal development to get a sense of where I’m headed.
